Vision
Glades Healthcare Foundation’s vision is for the residents and visitors of western Palm Beach County to experience timely access to progressive healthcare services delivered by high quality local physicians in a financially secure hospital and healthcare delivery system.

Advanced health care for western Palm Beach County
Lakeside Medical Center opened October 15, 2009, replacing its aging predecessor, Glades General Hospital, which served the area for more than 60 years. Centrally located at the intersection of State Road 80 (Hooker Highway) and State Rd 441 (Main St.) , it is the only acute-care hospital in a 35-mile radius and the only public hospital in Palm Beach County.

Lakeside Medical Center brings high-quality, modern healthcare delivery services and new outreach programs to the region. Educational classes and trainings that focus on some of the area’s most pressing healthcare challenges are offered in the hospital’s facilities, including a free comprehensive tobacco-cessation program to help area residents quit smoking.

In the past year, the hospital has added new primary care and women’s health physicians to its growing medical staff to help Glades residents take charge of their health at every stage of life.
