At Lakeside Medical Center we make every effort to attend to your personal needs as well as your medical ones.

Incoming Mail
Mail is delivered to patients each weekday by our hospital staff.  Special Delivery letters will be delivered upon arrival. Mail received after your discharge will be forwarded to your home address.  Your address while at the hospital is:

Outgoing Mail
Postage and delivery to the post office can be arranged through the Patient Relations office.  If you have mail you would like to go out, please ask a staff member or dial extension 444 for a Patient Representative.

Gift Shop
Personal items, gifts, flowers, writing materials and small snacks are available in the Gift Shop located in the lobby at the front entrance. The shop is staffed by volunteer members of the Lakeside Medical Center Auxiliary, and all proceeds go to our community.

Lost and Found
Items of limited dollar value will be kept on the unit for seven days.  After seven days, they will be given to the Risk Manager who will dispose of them after 30 days. Items of monetary value will be sent to the Risk Manager and will be discarded after 30 days if not claimed.

Vending Service
Soft drinks and snacks are available from vending machines located near the cafeteria. Please note that some of the food available may interfere with diagnostic tests or special diets.  All patients should check with nursing before accepting any snacks.

Flowers
Flowers arriving at the hospital will be delivered to the patient's room, unless that patient is in the Critical Care Unit. Due to health reasons, flowers are not permitted in the Critical Care Unit.

Latex Balloons
Latex balloons are not permitted in the hospital due to health and safety issues. Mylar balloons are permitted.

Notary Public
The services of a notary public are available. Please contact a staff member if you are in need of this service.
