Visiting Hours

Visiting hours at Lakeside Medical Center are generally observed daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

For the safety and comfort of our patients, please observe the following guidelines when visiting patients:

• No more than two visitors per patient at one time.
• As a security precaution, visitors must stop at the information desk in the first floor lobby and receive a visitor pass prior to entering the hospital.
• Visitors to patient rooms must be at least 12 years of age. Children under 12 must remain in the lobby under the supervision of an adult.
• Please do not sit or lie on the patient's bed.
• When a doctor enters the room, or the patient is receiving treatment, please leave the room.
• Any person with a cold, sore throat, or other transmittable illness should not visit patients.
• Rest and quiet are essential to the health and welfare of the patient.
• Out of consideration for patients and other health reasons, please do not eat in patient areas. Visitors are encouraged to use the on-site cafeteria or to eat food brought in from outside the hospital.
• Lakeside Medical Center is a tobacco-free facility.

Critical Care Unit

• Visitors to the Intensive Care Unit are limited to immediate family only. 
• Visiting hours are 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., for 20 minutes.
• Only two visitors may visit a patient at one time.
• Patients in the Intensive Care Unit are not allowed flowers for health reasons.

The Birthplace

• No more than two visitors may visit a patient at one time, at the nurse's discretion.
• All other visitors may wait in the lobby and visit the patient as agreed to by both the nurse and patient.

Pediatrics

• Parents and grandparents may visit any time and, if desired, one parent may stay overnight. To make arrangements for an overnight stay, consult with the charge nurse.
• Friends may visit during regular visiting hours. No one will be allowed in after 8:00 p.m. unless approved by the nurse.

Surgical
No visitors are allowed in the recovery room. Surgical patients may take visitors when they return to their room, according to the appropriate schedule above.
